Alan Turing was a famous mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist. He's considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence, and he helped breaking the german Enigma during WW2, but despite of all this - the man was punished for being gay, and he was giving estrogen injections. All the effects were supposed to disappear when the treatment was stopped, but they didn't. He was left with gynecomastia and a ruined brain. He couldn't work anymore, and committed suicide because of it.

Most side effects from Propecia comes from excessive estrogen, and I believe that this man experienced something similar to PFS.

What a tragedy. It's hardly surprising that a man may not return to normal after being pumped with estrogen for long periods of time.

Onto the link with PFS for a second. Are you trying to say that our side affects still remain due to high estrogen? many users on here have normal and even low estrogen readings.

I know that estrogen dominance (and consequently DHT deficiency) is a significant part of the problem. Finasteride has been shown to decrease the free testosterone level in everyone too, and it's no wonder that some people aren't able to recover after stopping treatment with Propecia. It doesn't matter if your hormone values are within "normal" ranges. It's all about ratios. Our symptoms are caused by hormonal imbalance, but I suspect that some damage to the prostate is the root cause.

Or maybe 'was' the problem that started whatever has happened now. I also believe that the prostate is probably damaged/ not functioning as it should be in some way.

There are really endless possibilities when you look at what finasteride does and how different men react to the drug. That is why we are completely fucked, unfortunately.

I'm not saying we don't have serious issues in front of us, fuck man, I think about it everyday. My ENTIRE life has been completely derailed and cluster fucked by this condition. I had a job that in 3 years time would pay me a gaurranteed $120,000 a year...I have have essentially lost that now, fighting it with my lawyer. Yeah I could probably go on disability but is that going to pay me anywhere near a six figure salary? No I don't think so.

But dude don't be so damn negative, you make it sound like we are beyond hope, realize that this condition is only now being seriously looked at as a novel, distinct medical condition. No doctors can help us because it isn't exactly like anything they have ever seen, once some more scientific research is done into it I am certain a causation and probably eventually a cure will be found.

The researchers are still leaning toward one "root cause" last I heard to explain the variety in symptoms. Far as I know they havn't deviated from that yet...

Too much estro is bad but so are synthetic hormones. They can block receptors unlike bioidenticals.
