Hello All,

I am new here, but I feel like after reading 100+ posts, I've known many of you or at least know your pain. I took Propecia for approximately 9 years and regret every day of it. I've been off of it now for 17 months and am still feeling the effects of it. Allow me to break it down:

Testosterone - Low (although recently it jumped about 400 points to put me at approx. 635).
Sex drive - Low
Erections - Excellent in the morning, but difficult to achieve and maintain in the evening.
Brain fog - Yes, for about 6-9 months after stopping, but that's gone away.
Fertility - Low sperm count, but did see a decent increase after 6 months of stopping Propecia. My wife was pregnant but miscarried about 3 months ago.

I know many of you are probably reading this and thinking, "ok, so what, you're like the rest of us." Yes, that's true. I honestly hate myself for being so self-involved that by thinking if I had a full head of hair "life would be good." Instead, life is now a struggle.

I guess my question is (and I've read the "Recovery" forum and "Sexual Dysfunction" forum), how long does this all last? Anyone seen any changes? Is it permanent? My endocrinologist wants to put me on TRT, but I refuse because I don't want to lower my sperm (still trying for children).

Anyway, just wanted some thoughts, advice, whatever...

Well I don't think its permanent no... There have been various methods we are investigating now...A lot of help could be on the horizon.. so be hopeful.

Thanks for sharing. I am hopeful as you are recovering you will recover more as time goes by. I felt better after 2.5 years.
for miscarriage, you are the third one to report the same. you can sue Merk on this. Look at the link, especially the last post by Luckfax, take this to your Lawyer and it will make a solid legal case in your favor.
