Mew, I see Dr. Shippen again in six weeks. I'll talk to him about first trying iodine supplementation, since that seems like the least drastic course of action.

vincentv, I am guessing that my cortisol levels are not as out of whack as they were back in February. I'm sleeping somewhat better than I was back then (although not as well as I did before my post-fin crash). And my body temperature, which was frequently low, is back around normal now, although maybe the summer heat has something to do with that. Eventually I'll get the cortisol tested again, but since I'm sleeping a little better I don't feel like it's a high priority for me right now.

I get SHBG tested again in a couple of weeks, but not Reverse T3 (for some reason Shippen didn't order Reverse T3 this time). I do realize that I'm in a bad position because taking thyroid medication to bring down my Reverse T3 can make my SHBG go up higher.

I doubt thyroid hormones will fix t3 issues. It is more likely an issue with free cortisol keeping your rt3 high.
