HI i just joined. I quit Propecia a month ago and all of a sudden my Penis, Balls, and near my anus started becoming painfull then numb. My doc said its and infection of the prostate. I also have the peeing sensation. Can someone please help me? What I wan to know is am I really having a prostate infection or missing something else fin is causing. My penis just started getting numb and burning. I need to know if I need to direct the doctor in another direction. Pllllllllllease help me. I survived open heart at 28 to come back and be destroyed by this shit!

I'm no expert on this, so take my advice as a grain of salt.
Definitely try to steer clear of dutasteride, if that is what your doctor first recommends.
I think a lot of guys on this message board have had luck using the antibiotic cipro for prostate inflammation caused by fin.
Also, has your doctor performed a digital rectal exam to check for enlarged prostate or done a urinalysis to confirm an infection.

Any doctor who would even consider dutasteride after someone coming in complaining of finasteride should lose their licence. You literally couldn't do worse.

I highly doubt any doctor would be that stupid, though.

I was given bactrim and so far no results. No rectal tests yet. He told me he doesn't think it has to do with propecia . Hard to convince sonebody if they look at the research . I was perfectly fine until I quit the fin. Then this happens??
