Take a look at this. In January this year, I was in contact with the man behind the work which is referred to as the "blue book" in the norwegian medical community. This is the reference, which defines the normal ranges for all hormone values in the blood, and urine. Some labs have their own ranges, but this is the mother of all references. I recieved a letter from him a couple of days ago, with an article. He said he remembered me when he read that article, which is from march 2011. I've made a PDF file, so you may read it yourself. I have claimed that these ranges are useless for anything but revealing deficiency- or excessive amounts of hormones, and here is the proof. This article is primarily about men with andropause, but hormonal ranges based on age, is something that would benefit men of all ages, and especially younger men - since the testosterone level deceases gradually as we age. Today, the normal range covers all men, from 18 - 70+ years old. A 18 year old kid, could have the testosterone level of a 80 year old man, and it would still be seen as normal.

This is for people who have seen one or more doctors, and been told that everything looks fine - despite having symptoms of hypogonadism, and a low testosterone level.
