Viagra does nothing to increase Testosterone, it is a PDE5 inhibitor and only helps with the mechanics of obtaining an erection by providing more bloodflow to the area.

That said, various studies have stated that Viagra works better in men who have optimal Testosterone levels, vs those who are hypogonadal.

I'm curious about this as well... I do not see any posts on here about viagra or any other ED medications?? are people even trying them? has anyone had any success with these medications? I know its just a bandaid, but a temporary solution is better than NO solution at all. I would really like to know if anyone has been able to maintain an erection post-fin with any of these medications. I was happy when I discovered this forum but quickly discouraged when I discovered the lack of actual solutions posted here, I mean, I am yet to even see a single post about viagra or any other ED med and whether or not it may possibly work.

how long did you take fin?? what were your symptoms? did they start while on the med or after quitting? How did cialis improve them? sorry for all the questions.. I'm just at my wits end and am looking for any solution... even if it is just a bandaid. I only stopped taking propecia a few days ago but I'm having some nasty sexual sides, lack of libido and E.D. I'm glad to hear cialis helps you, if i dont starting feeling normal soon I'm gonna go to the Dr and ask about it. Its gonna be embarassing tho, for a 22 year old guy to need that medication :? but if it works, I'm willing to do it... anything to save my new relationship.

I took it right afte I stopped taking fin. It worked and everything was amazing.

Then I had my crash a few months later and was a complete mess. It helped just so that I could get it up for about a coupld of minutes.

Currently I am doing much better. Can get a decent erection and masterbate as often as I want. I used about half a pill last night and could have lasted for ever. However, I did go a little soft at times and it took more work than normal.

I also had taken a valium cause it had been a while lol. That can cause sexual sides but it also helped me relax and not think about BS. so I'm not sure what works. I am trying Cialis next.

I will give a post of my progress in the past 6 months soon. Lately i've been off this site for a long time.

Bumping an old thread of mine, finally tried viagra... 1 out of 6 times it worked, but I could not KEEP the erection. I was able to get harder than normal, but as soon as intercourse began, the lack of sensation made it go down. Oh well

I think the fact that someone here (like me) has almost zero results with cialis or viagra ecc. is very important to understand pfs. I can achieve good erections (good for a pfs sufferer) regardless of cialis and i can be almost impotent regardless of it, cialis changes nearly nothing. Why? What types of e.d. cannot be fixed by cialis? I know for example neurological e.d. can't and i am still convinced that is my case. Again, why cialis doesn't work on some of us (both with good and with low libido)?

PDE-5 inhibitors don't work when the testosterone/estrogen ratio is way off. When it's close to optimal, 2.5 mg Cialis has a significant effect on my erections. Before I began using testosterone and Arimidex, I tried several doses of Cialis and Viagra - up to 20 mg Cialis and 100 mg Viagra, without noticing anything else than side effects.

I recommend using 2.5 or 5 mg Cialis once a day (preferably before bed), instead of using those medications when needed. It'll cause cGMP (which is necessary for erections) to accumulate. Pause the treatment for some days if you get brain fog or headache. This happens to me when I've used the pills once a day for approximately a month.
