Accordingly to Dr. Saracoglu (who found the Brocolli treatment) lifting heavy weights is bad for the prostate - https://www.saracoglu.at/bolum.php?name ... 7&sirano=3

We keep talking about heavy workout, now is that the right way after we have messed up our prostates with Finasteride?
Also, I asked this before, there is Carob cure for sperm count and impotence mentioned on his website, anyone knows where to find Carobs or Locusts in US? I've read some great reviews about Carob cure.

texas123,

I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find someone who claims broccoli is bad for you too.

The bottom line is there are far more studies out there that indicate that it offers more positive benefits than negative. Increased testosterone, increased muscle and bone, more efficient burning of calories, increased blood flow in the body. I'm sure I have missed some.

Lifting weights causes an increase in testosterone...if there is something wrong with the hpta, its possible the increased testosterone could convert to estrogen, which would enlarge the prostate. to prevent this aromatase activity, vitex agnus castus 400-800mg daily works.

Natural one: Just curious, I've noticed that in almost ALL of your posts, your pushing vitex. I'm actually surprised by the way you worked it into this one. Do you have stock in the company or something?

There are alot of fantastic herbs out there, but one never ends up being the end all be all supplement. Another thing to note: You say you take this every single day. It doesn't stop working for you? In my experience by taking an herb daily, it quickly loses it's efficacy and becomes useless. If this herb did do the myriad of things you're suggesting, wouldn't you be better off cycling it to get a more desired effect?

I've said it before, I know there is a cult following on this forum for DIM and/or broccoli treatment, but I think it's worth repeating, this is probably a really bad idea for people in our position. It is an anti-androgen. It blocks DHT from binding to Androgen Receptors. Broccoli/DIM may be lovely for some people, but it seems counterintuitive for us.

cd, yes, i take this everyday before bed, and it never stops working for me. its very beneficial for sleep, because it induces melatonin release. the reason it is such an underrated herb is it has the amazing ability to look at the person's hormonal profile, and it doesn't matter what hormones are too high or too low, vitex, when taken in the proper dosage of approx. 500mg daily, will bring all of the hormones back into perfect balance, so long as the person isnt taking other herbs at the same time. vitex does this by regulating the pituitary gland.
unlike most hebs, vitex is low in phytosterols. phytosterols are strong anti androgens. this is why tribulus and longjack must be cycled. the sterols in these herbs eventually counteract their positive effect. vitex is very different from most herbs, with its low sterol content. take too much vitex, and it has a negative effect, because progesterone goes too high, and dht falls.

i'm currently taking two herbs. cat's claw in the morning, to repair the dna damage done to me by accutane, and vitex before bed. the cat's claw has wiped out my dht levels because of its plant sterol content, but its a sacrifice i'm temporarily living with in order to repair the dna damage. without the vitex, the dht lowering effect of cat's claw would be much worse. vitex keeps things bearable while i'm on the cat's claw.

and i agree wholeheartedly with the last poster about DIM. it is a very powerful anti andrgen, and men should avoid this.
