I've seen the 2nd figure before, just shows how 1.5 mg fina is just as bad as 5mg fina as far as its harshness on DHT. If you could translate the 1st one it would help.

sure,

it only shows, that its not only lower the DHT around by 60% not only in the serum, also in the skin of the head. This is what the Pic is showing, how much DHT is blocked in the Skin of the head.

Yup, well thats what it was designed to do. Also a reason many of us here have various skin issues. I have seen lots of complaints of dry skin, lack of sweating, and lack of acne... why this continues post finasteride cessation however...

Well, Anyway. I would say, fin also affects 5AR1 and 5AR3. But I doupt pic.1 can be true. 0,05mg, nearly the same as 1,0mg but 0,2mg less? no way, but also we see tests most of the time show dif. results.

Well I know (dispite some on here saying different) that finasteride does in fact inhibit 5AR1 but to a much lesser extent than durasteride.

As far as 5AR3 I have not seen any research indicating it does. However there is so little research and knowledge available about 5AR3 that if it was found that finasteride does inhibit it, I would not be surprised.

There is some good reading in the fin studies section.

Thanks tim, I think I might have glazed over that article before. Its too bad that we still don't know exactly what fina did us, thus not knowing what exactly occured we are stuck. Much easier to postulate a treatment course when you actually know what your treating... =(

How many people are here, who used Dutasterid? I most see here people, who only took fin.
